ere we are approaching the end of 2011 and things in the forest industry are still tough with no real end to the downturn in sight.
CML is still operating because of a combination of quality and innovation. Quality is what sells our products in these tough times and innovation is how we make sure we have products to sell.
Recently, we’ve made an agreement with a mill in Courtenay to market all of their production. The mill is called Dove Creek Timber and is a family run operation that cuts mainly clear red cedar. There have been a few growing pains. We are sorting those out this and this will be a good long term relationship.
We are also working on some engineered cedar products which will be in production some time in the first quarter of 2012. The equipment has been ordered and we are working on a building to set up the equipment.
I would like to wish everyone in the Coulson Group of Companies a Very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2012.
A big thank you to all the employees and staff of CML/CSL for all your hard work in 2011. 2012 will be an exciting time around here with our new products going on line along with the other initiatives.
