oulson Forest Products has created opportunities by many means, and for several years, created work through partnerships.  We have had good success with these partnerships.  The partners have supplied the opportunity in exchange for Coulson's expertise and innovation.  The innovation is not the actual logging or sawmilling; it is more the system.  Our success in recent years has also been largely due to managing species in relation to market needs.  Looking at what our logging options are and having the manufacturing facility to find a home for it.  The cooperation between woodlands and sawmill has worked well.

2010 is going to be a greater test than the last two years.  We are out of mix and match options.  We are going to have to survive on what is in front of us; cedar standard and hemlock.  Cedar standard is at its lowest level in years with limited lumber market and hemlock standard at its highest level but that isn't enough to cover logging costs in the Clayquot.

A quality product produced efficiently is not enough today.  We will have to find a way to reduce our logging costs to match market pricing.

We have another three barges of wood to move, 2 hemlock from Rankin and 1 cedar from Cypre.  Then we will have a break.
