Our engineering program has, over the past few months, put together cutting permit and road permit applications for four new cut blocks at Rankin Cove and Cypre River to allow harvesting to continue on the current program in TFL 54 until the end of the year.

We expect approval of these permits from the Forest Service in the next couple of weeks.

In addition to these new permits, we are doing some final cleanup on the remaining existing unlogged permits we have in TFL 54.  Work on these areas will be able to commence in early 2010 depending on log markets.

On the forestry side, Ron has mapped and started planting prescriptions for all of the areas we have logged in TFL 54 over the past year and a half.

For the longer term, we continue to explore options for our next harvesting program in Toquart and Cataract.  Just how soon we begin to prepare those areas for harvesting will depend on mill needs and on TFL 54 logging opportunities.
