The Stewardson harvesting operations have been running well and we have delivered our second barge of the year to CML who have kept up with lumber sales. This is a good sign as we have competitors of ours taking down time in both the harvesting and lumber manufacturing facilities because of lack of lumber sales. Gary and John have done a good job in co-ordinating "just in time" deliveries from the woods to CML as we monitor the flow of lumber sales daily.
We now have C-FCLM up on contract teamed with ERA Aviation out of the Gulf of Mexico on a USFS contract down in Santa Ynez,California.
C-FXEC is also on contract back in Australia and has moved down to Melbourne working for one of Jayrow’s customers on an off shore oil contract.
Jim is on location at Lake Elsinore waiting for the dispatch by the USFS of the Mars. Britton is also in California with the new S-76 working with Axsys and Aero Computers on the installation of the new thermal imaging technology on the S-76.
With a slower start to the fire season down in California the USFS has held back the start date for the Mars as they forecast a longer fire season into the fall. We expect to be on contract by the end of June.
As the weather continues to be hot and dry and fatigue sets in quicker, it is key to watch out for each other and insure that we all get home safely.
