ow, summer has arrived all of a sudden. It seems we’ve skipped spring this year and have gone right from winter to summer. Don’t forget the sunscreen.

CML is cutting Western Red Cedar from Stewardson. There are some very nice logs going into the mill. Good work on the manufacturing by Coulson Forest Products. We have good lengths which will help keep our August length up and allow us to achieve better pricing for our products.

Unfortunately, the Canadian dollar has been rapidly moving up against the US dollar making out products less completive than products from other countries and impacting our margins. We have been adjusting our cut in an effort to produce products which will be shipped promptly.

This is the time of year when the mill road can become very dusty. Please be careful and never pass when you can’t see!

CML has been selling lumber to the public. We have fencing and decking items available and will be doing sales on Fridays. If you need more information please call Darren at 250-724-7645.
