Six weeks remaining to complete workscopes, secure approvals, test, train and start contract for the Hawaii Mars, the new Sikorsky S-76 and S61 CLM. We are also hoping to hear about S61 MAY going to work in Greece within the next week, with a similar start up date. The Hawaii Mars and the S-76 both have multiple ambitious projects underway, but all in all are looking pretty good.

The rain this week has delayed a few of the outdoor projects and completion, but hopefully, it will be sunny and warm by the weekend again. The flight deck area of the Mars is starting to show signs of completion with most of the avionics terminations done and testing underway for the new instrument panel.

FCLM is currently on a vessel from Australia and will arrive in Port Alberni around May 15th. There it will get a pylon and gearbox change and readied for fire fighting based out of Santa Ynez, California. Top the left is Kirk Fong working on a pylon.
Crew training begins May 11, followed up by an audit of the crew and aircraft by the US Forest Service the week of May 18th.
