Congratulations to the Mars team on the successful awarding of the United States Forest Service contract for Hawaii Mars. This is the first time in the history of their firefighting life that they have had a guarantee of what the summer fire season would bring. The first class job that flight crews, maintenance crews and ground crews have done over the past two opportunities we had to work in the United States has been instrumental in Coulson getting this contract. Thank you to all. There are still many projects underway on Hawaii Mars and they are starting to take shape. We plan a completion by mid May. Flight timing will take place with both the Martin Mars and the new S76 from mid May to the contract start date of June 15th.2009.
The S76 is currently being ferried from New York to Vancouver to complete modifications and nstrumentation of the infrared cameras.
Some of the Mars flight crew travelled to Sacramento to the U.S. Forest Service Region 5 Headquarters for some training this past week.

Coulson Aircrane has also been successful in serving a S61 contract in Southern California. C-FCLM will start a 120 day contract in Santa Ynes, California, operating as a bucketing, passenger carrying, rappel aircraft. C-FCLM will arrive back from Australia around May 9th and will undergo maintenance until her contract start of June 11, 2009.
Congratulations to both our aviation divisions on a “Zero Non-Conformance” ISO 14001 audit. The auditor travels all over the world auditing all types of operations and was very impressed with our operations and caliber of our employees.
