Happy Holidays from all the Millworks crew.

First off, I would like to congratulate everyone here on their dedication to safety this past year. In August we surpassed the one year lost time accident free milestone and are still producing safely. We have updated level 3 first aid tickets and have also added new ticket holders to our crew. It is very important that we all look out for each other and contribute to the safety program on a daily basis.

On the production side, we have proved that adaptability is key. The year started with a steady diet of bevel siding which continued into the summer. With the drop off in the solid bevel market we have had to fire up the chop line for the first time in three years. The crew handled the change with ease and it is their hard work that has led to our continued success. The test cuts have turned into extended volumes. It is the quality and appearance of the product we give back to Western Forest Products, whether it be wet cedar or kiln dried hemlock, that will keep the wheels turning for us until the bevel market returns.

I look forward to the new year and know that any adversity that lies ahead in 2009 will be overcome by hard work and flexibility . Just as we have done in the past.
