Three S-61’s in Australia ?!!

Coulson Aircrane has secured work for a 3rd S-61 in Australia. C-FXEC is arriving in Melbourne Dec 20th, will be assembled over the Christmas period and will then ferry to Darwin in the Northern Territories. Work starts early in the new year servicing pipeline ships and oil platforms. Darwin is in the North West corner of Australia and has very different weather patterns as compared to the South East where we have worked fire for 4 years now.

The past few weeks of spring have been quite wet in Victoria State, allowing the agencies to look forward to a quiet Christmas period. However the moisture has also brought rapid growth of fine fuels that will be a concern as it warms up and dries out.

All The Best This Holiday Season.
