Message from the CEO

It has been mentioned in earlier readings of our company newsletter that we all need to be cautious of the economy and as a producer of goods for the United States we are starting to feel the impact.

In watching nightly CNN and following the Presidential election it becomes clear quickly that the people living in the US have very little confidence in the existing Republican administration and want a significant change.

If the US vote in a Democratic President I thinkthis will somewhat restore consumer confidence within the American public and we will see an easing of the negative pressures people are feeling and this will help consumer confidence.

I believe this will be the single biggest impact to help get the economy going in the US andit willmake a significant difference in all businesses that export to the US.

We have recently been taking intermittent shut downs at the Manufacturing facilities and at the end of Oct will take down time in our woodlands operations in TFL 54.

We currently haveS-61s C-FMAY and C-FCLM heading down to Australia for a 3 month contract starting in early December as well as C-GBSF operating between Vancouver and Victoria with HELI-JET.

Our management team has done an excellent job of keeping ahead of the obstacles and we very much appreciate the support we havereceived from all divisions.

As we wind our way through this maze of uncertainty it is important to remember that we have been here before so this is not unchartered waters. A hardworking, safe company with world class people will persevere, and the fallout is always opportunity.
