The Mighty H10 at Stewardson

Thanks to Jim Isaac for the pictures

It seems like we are in the good weather corner of the world, not totally extreme like other areas on the continent, just warm. We have been able to work around the weather, the markets and all the curtailments around us. It appears our summer challenge is going to be logging in Clayquot; it will be an interesting time. The Mamook / Coulson program is committed to moving forward.

Cataract is in the final closing phase. We will deactivate everything and secure the area. We have pulled the skidway up and will tie off booming ground anchors and store out of the weather. Closure will be complete next week.

Kennedy flats is currently abouthalf way through the K4 block. SB7 and T1 have all roads completed with falling to begin next week. This area will be a heli, hoechuck load and haul program for a couple of months.

Stewardson has sent 2 partial barge loads out so far, 1 to Vancouver and 1 to Alberni. I am targeting mid August for the first full 12,000m3 barge to Port Alberni. None of the Stewardson work crosses the line into any of the " Pristine " designated areas. So it is my hope we will proceed without any confrontation or delay.

Engineering and logging plans are in high gear developing fiber for 3rd, 4th and first quarter production. We are just beginning a 400,000m3 logging plan, it is just a matter of going through the process. Approvals and plans within Clayquot are a very consuming process, tougher than logging it!
