We are entering into the final month of the 2nd quarter. The fibre flow forcasts keep changing, adjusting to weather and man alike. We continue to experience production delays caused by extreme weather, machine and man. We have transitioned from rain gauges to temperature gauges. Weather stations have been erected in Toquart and Cataract, the weather readings this week have us close to fire watch.

Toquart is in a start stop mode with yarding working continuous and load haul working short weeks. Road is close to being complete with about 3 weeks remaining in 0415 Pipestem block. Toquart has about 13,000m3 of conventional & 9000m3 of heli remaining.

Cataract has been on special production for the last couple of weeks recovering wind throw on road right of way. We are very close to getting into the CL39 block which will give us 8000m3 for June. We have a logging contract with Probyn which will start the moment we get a helicopter, about 2 weeks. Tough road building is still causing delays.

We are almost halfway through the year and only a little off our target volume. Generally we target 15,000m3 / month, over the first 5 months we are at 73,000m3, we are staying close, BUT our targets do not include additional work i.e. outside contracts or TFL54. Each of our projects has a budget, though we are on track for volume we are over budget in most areas. We have had a run of high maintenance and lost equipment availability so far this year. Things always run better in the sun so I'm hoping for cost improvements. We have upgraded one 980G from the mill, we have purchased 3 new to us off highway logging trucks to address our trucking problems and we are looking for alternate loading & yarding options.

We will receive a helicopter in June but the fire situation will dictate availability. It won't take much flying to get a large volume roadside to support our production targets.
