Message from the CEO

Message from the CEO This has been an extremely quick six months and it is hard to believe that we are half way through 2007. What is even harder to believe is that our youngest son, Foster, is graduating from ADSS this month and we are pleased that he has decided to stay and work in our Forestry Division at CFP and join the family business. We have an extremely talented forestry department that Foster can learn from. We are lucky to have some of the most seasoned forestry veterans on the BC Coast with Paul Pashnik, Ron Sorensen and Zolie Schafer.

We will be watering the Martin Mars Water Bombers on June 8th and will start training in preparation for the upcoming fire season. We are currently in final negotiations with the BC Forest Service to secure work as an initial attack aircraft for the summer.

Our plan is to open the current Martin Mars base at Sproat Lake to the public. Darlene Coulson is putting together a display of the history of the Mars during WW 2 to present. We plan to convert one of the existing hangers to have pictures, videos, displays and a gift shop where visitors can purchase Mars trivia. Our current plan is to have the grand opening of the Museum on the July long weekend. We will keep everyone notified.
