It came as a big surprise when I was asked to write my Christmas Log N Talk. Not only did this year fly by, as they all seem to do, but it was also a year of growth for the Coulson Group of Companies and CML was a big part of it.

Looking at the calendar on my wall the thing that leaps out is that nearly every day has some sort of production written into it. We ran steadier this year than anytime in our history. This is quite an accomplishment considering the state of the forestry industry and that there was a three month strike on the coast. We can thank our superior product for our ability to run all the time. Our products have been well received in the marketplace with customers all over the world asking for Coulson wood. This is because our products are well sawed, graded and packaged. We can all be proud of this and happy in the fact that our efforts have provided us with steady employment.

The Coulson Group certainly didn�ft stand still this year with the acquisition of the Martin Mars water bombers and the construction of the new gaming center and corporate offices. We had a part in the gaming center and offices by supplying the cedar and hemlock that makes the Rim Rock Gaming Centre unique. Our beautiful products are on display here for everyone to see, check it out.

We have a number of new people working at CSL that I would like to welcome into the Coulson Group. I know that we will look after them and help them become safe production employees.

I would like to wish everyone in the Coulson Group a Very Merry Christmas and all the Best in the New Year.

I would also like to thank Wayne and his family for having faith in letting us become one of the most successful wood processors on Vancouver Island.

Please, Everyone, play safe over the Christmas break as we need you all for even bigger and better things in 2008.
