Committed to Producing Quality Products "Finding a better way"

Coulson Manufacturing was created to satisfy the increasingly diversified demands of our customers. Their high expectations are a result of the experience and trust established by their forty years association with our timber harvesting abilities.

In 1992 our facility entered production primarily producing value added lumber for the Japanese market.

Surplus from our company's timber holdings gives the manufacturing division needed assurance of an ample Western Red Cedar fibre supply to satisfy customer demands for the foreseeable future.

Coulson Lumber Manufacturing is currently cutting approximately 50% cedar and 50% hemlock, custom cutting high-grade hemlock and balsam, and carrying out both log and lumber sales directly at our mill.

Remanufacturing

Secondary sizing and specialty products are handled at our onsite remanufacturing facility. This 10,000 square foot facility compliments our sawmill and allows close inspection of our high value western red cedar and hemlock products as well as grade extraction through our Inline Hula Trimsaw. Our 6x12 Yates planer gives us the capability of producing rougher headed and s4s products in a wide range of sizes.

High Margin Processing

Flexibility plays an integral role in keeping up with an ever changing marketplace. We have been able to respond quickly to our customers needs with multi-rip, chop saw and resorting functions in our remanufacturing facility.

Finished Products

With a dynamic global market, we have adapted well to specialty cutting for Western Red Cedar Export and Domestic markets. Our product focus covers the spectrum, from dimension cuts, cants, fliches as well as vertical grain cutting, giving customers the flexibility that only a specialty mill can offer.

Coulson Millworks

This division is the newest addition to our remanufacturing capabilities. This new 65,000 square foot edition now allows us to manufacture solid and finger jointed bevel siding, finger jointed wood products and a state of the art automated chop line.

Coulson Manufacturing is a diverse operation, from custom log sorting to custom lumber cutting to lumber sales of high quality domestic and export red cedar and hemlock products. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff is well versed in all aspects of high value lumber cutting and remanufacturing.
